Cooking with a Mother’s Love

Akshaya Patra provides the mid-day meal to children all over India, who have no proper access to adequate nutrition and education any other way. By providing the tasty, healthy food, children are given an incentive to attend classes and concentrate on their education, and hopefully leave the cycle of poverty behind.

At Akshaya Patra it’s not just about providing basic nutrition to the children. It’s about providing them with the care of a mother to a child. That is why each member of the Akshaya Patra staff is dedicated to the cause of providing these children with tasty, wholesome food, filled with a mother’s nurturing love, care and attention.

Care is taken from the ingredients chosen to the cooking the food and thereby bringing out the best aroma, taste and quantity.  Akshaya Patra works to make the beneficiaries of the programme feel like they can depend on the mid-day meal to give them strength, comfort and joy.

To showcase the dedication and unfailing effort of the Akshaya Patra staff, the organization has created a video featuring real life employees from the Akshaya Patra kitchen.
